JUNGYI WANG (SOLO)

Originally from Taiwan, Solo JungYi Wang is a Los Angeles based film/TV composer. Solo began his musical journey playing piano at the age of five. Years later, he got a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art in film/TV Making from FuJen Catholic University in Taipei, Taiwan. He started his career as a composer for Taiwan Public Television Service and scored numerous TV shows, commercials, and dramas.

In 2011, Solo relocated to Los Angeles, California, to study Keyboard Performance and Audio Engineering at the Musicians Institute and attended the Film Scoring program at UCLA Extension. Upon graduation, he kept cooperating with producers, directors, musicians from all over the world in a wide array of television, film, commercials, and multimedia projects. He also worked in the Remote Control Productions, Santa Monica, held by the world-famous Hans Zimmer.

In 2015, Solo founded Solo Music Production to provide scoring and score mixing services for directors and companies from the US, Asia, Europe, and Africa. The projects “The Recency Effect” directed by David S Dawson was nominated for Best Musical Score on San Diego Film Award in 2016. Solo has scored for numerous national-wide distributed films and TV series.
